Broad area laser diodes are high power diodes with larger emitter widths than those of conventional Fabry Perot laser diodes. They are multi-spacial or multi-longitudinal mode. The laser chip of the diode is produced via MOVPE (metalorganic vapor phase epitaxy) of compound semiconductor material. The rear facet of the chip features a highly reflective coating, while the front facet has class A antireflection coating to direct output to the front of the laser chip.
Our broad area laser diodes feature output powers from 1 to 7W and wavelengths from 740 to 1120nm. They are ideal for a variety of applications requiring high output power, such as opthalmology, tumor therapy, and fiber laser pumping. |
