Our low-impedance transmission line enables users to drive pulsed laser diodes remotely. This method of transmission is especially useful for high current pulses with fast rise and fall times. Transmission line preserves pulse shape while minimizing power loss.
Each of our parallel plate transmission lines is constructed of two layers of copper and three layers of insulation. These materials form a flat, flexible "sandwich" structure with an operating temperature of up to 105°C and a minimum bend radius of 1 inch.
We offer three choices of transmission line. The SL 1.7 line features an exceptionally low impedance value of 1.7 ohms. SL 2.5 provides an impedance value of 2.5, while SL 4 (our standard line) offers an impedance of 4.0 ohms. Custom configurations and impedances are also available.
