Founded in 1969 and headquartered just outside Little Rock, Arkansas, PTI designs, develops, and manufactures laser solutions used in demanding applications across scientific research, biomedical and life sciences, industrial systems, and defense-related programs. We support both R&D/prototypes and production manufacturing, delivering configurable platforms and custom builds that integrate into customer systems worldwide.

Currently Available:
Production Engineer
Description: Optimize processes and test to increase yield and capacity while enabling scalable production.
Qualifications: Manufacturing/production/process engineering experience; strong root-cause and continuous improvement skills; ability to develop standard work/fixtures/test methods; familiarity with DFM/DFT and quality tools (PFMEA, control plans, SPC) preferred.
Production Technician
Description: Perform precision electro-optical build, test, inspection, and troubleshooting to spec in a high-reliability manufacturing environment.
Qualifications: High-skill assembly/test experience (electronics/electro-optics preferred); ability to follow standard work and document results; comfort with test equipment; strong workmanship/attention to detail; soldering and ESD experience preferred.
Automation / Robotics Lead
Description: Build PTI’s factory automation roadmap and deploy robotic/automated cells that improve repeatability, throughput, and traceability.
Qualifications: 7+ years manufacturing automation/robotics experience; proven end-to-end deployments; PLC/controls + robotics integration experience; strong safety/validation mindset; high-mix manufacturing experience preferred.
Sales Engineer
Description: Convert customer specs into manufacturable laser configurations, quotes, and technical win plans, supporting design through close.
Qualifications: B2B technical sales or applications engineering experience; strong ability to communicate technical tradeoffs; proposal/quoting competence; CRM/pipeline discipline; familiarity with lasers/photonics/instrumentation preferred.
Sales Manager
Description: Drive pipeline rigor, forecasting accuracy, and sales team execution from lead to close.
Qualifications: Experience managing a technical B2B sales team; track record improving forecast accuracy and win rates; strong coaching/enablement skills; metrics-driven pipeline management; experience selling engineered products preferred.

Qualifications: Engineering degree; prior engineering leadership in hardware manufacturing; experience with opto-electronics/lasers preferred; strong design review/change control/validation discipline; cross-functional leadership with production and quality.
