Power Technology's newest line of laser diode drivers are precision current sources designed for the demanding requirements of high-power laser diode emitters, bars, and arrays. The compact form fits neatly into even the most space-limited applications. The drivers may drive single or multi-facet laser diodes up to a compliance voltage of 30V. Multiple configurations are available. The LDP series comes standard with several features that allow for external control via your control circuitry. The unit also features current monitoring terminals, diode protection upon shutdown, a soft start circuit, reverse polarity protection, and customer adjustable bias and current limit setting through a series of binary dip switches. This unit incorporates several new features like integrated dip switches that will not drift like potentiometers and a highly efficient heat sink.

Power Technology provides a variety of pulsed laser drivers with currents that range from 1 – 100 Amps. Our ILC and IPC pulsars offer peak pulse currents from 1 to 105A and pulse widths from 7 to 200ns. Available wavelengths include 850, 905, 1064, and 1550nm. ILC Pulsers contain an internal power supply that allows for either a built-in trigger pulse or a user-supplied trigger. IPC pulses do not incorporate an internal power supply, so users must supply a trigger pulse and a bias voltage. Both series are temperature compensated to regulated output power, and both are suitable for any number of applications, including range finding, atmospheric communications, LiDAR & biomedical analysis.

Power Technology offers laser diode drivers designed for external TTL compatible modulation from CW to 20MHz. Our TMD drivers operate from CW to 20MHz. The TMD219-100 can drive laser diodes up to 100mA, while the TMD210-200 can drive them up to 200mA. Each power supply operates in constant current mode and can be modulated from an external user-supplied TTL trigger. Optional potentiometer controls are available to provide adjustable drive current.
