Power Technology Co-CEO and State Representative candidate accepts Chairman appointment to Arkansas Economic Development Commission manufacturing committee

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Feb. 21, 2022 – Walter Burgess, Power Technology co-CEO and candidate for Arkansas House District 81, has accepted a Chairman appointment to the Arkansas Manufacturing Solutions advisory committee of the Arkansas Economic Development Commission. The program is part of a nationwide network of the Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP), within the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).

The mission of Arkansas Manufacturing Solutions is to maximize enterprise value for manufacturers through innovation, operational excellence, sustainability and leadership development.

“I am excited to step into a leadership role for the Arkansas Manufacturing Solutions advisory committee where I have been passionate about serving for more than a decade,” said Burgess. 

“Since 1995, Arkansas Manufacturing Solutions’ industry experts have leveraged their experience to strengthen local manufacturing in the state. As Chairman of the advisory committee, I look forward to expanding my role in this important program that provides hands-on business and technical assistance to make our state’s industries more globally competitive,” he said.

Arkansas Manufacturing Solutions trains and consults with more than 200 Arkansas manufacturers each year. Burgess joined the advisory committee in 2012.
