LITTLE ROCK, AR – Jan. 15, 2025 – Power Technology, a leader in laser technology (based in Central Arkansas), hosted a delegation from AUKUS Forum, the trilateral security partnership among the U.S., United Kingdom, and Australia. The delegation toured the Power Technology campus as part of its visit to Arkansas to strengthen alliances in the aerospace and defense industries. According to AUKUS, Arkansas’ growing aerospace and defense ecosystem aligns closely with the goals of its Pillar Two initiatives, which emphasize advancements in cyber, AI, quantum technologies, and defense manufacturing. “It was a pleasure to host the AUKUS delegation and highlight some of the resources we provide to the defense industry,” said Walter Burgess, co-CEO of Power Technology.” We are proud to have a longstanding relationship with some of the world’s largest aerospace and defense contractors. “The AUKUS mission to facilitate trade pathways and market collaboration for the U.S., U.K. and Australian aerospace and defense dovetails well with Power Technology’s history of international partnerships and contributions to collective security,” he said. Directly preceding the tour, Power Technology joined a roundtable discussion hosted by the Little Rock Chamber of Commerce, which featured the AUKUS delegation and key stakeholders from government and industry.
