Description
Since the inception of the laser over 50 years ago, cinematography professionals have searched for a way to incorporate laser light sources into their projection images. Power Technology’s ground-breaking iLLUMINA
Cinema Laser finally brings that vision to life in full, high-contrast color. This unit uses multiple lasers to produce full-time color: Red, Green, and Blue, as well as White when combined. The combination of the varying wavelengths produces natural color and exceptionally bright images with no color breaking or rainbow effects.
The iLLUMINA’s wide range of capabilities overcome many of the issues associated with conventional lamp-based projection, while at the same time providing energy-saving features and a lower cost of ownership. The iLLUMINA provides an annual cost savings of over $3,000 USD per screen allowing 10,000+ hours of usage compared to 3,000 hours on some lamps.
The iLLUMINA increases the projector color gamut, enabling an expanded color palette and better color reproduction. And, when used in 3D applications, the laser light does not require a polarizing filter like many film or
digital projectors, which causes a loss of light.
Available in several configurations, the iLLUMINA can be used by professionals or high-end consumers.
