Description

IRX3 is a compact, hand-held infrared viewer for 400–1700 nm alignment and inspection tasks, using a first-generation image converter to render a high-contrast visible image at the eyepiece. Interchangeable C-mount lenses—1× (F1.3/8 mm, ~38° FOV) and 2× (F1.4/16 mm, ~19° FOV)—provide 30 lp/mm center resolution with close-focus down to 0.1 m (1×) or 0.5 m (2×, ~0.15 m with macro). Power is via two field-replaceable 18650 Li-ion cells for ~11 h continuous operation, and a ¼-20 tripod thread supports hands-free setups. For beam-spot visualization at 1 m, typical thresholds are ~0.1 µW/cm² @ 1060 nm and ~500 µW/cm² @ 1300 nm (view on a diffuse card or metallic surface; “mid-air” viewing requires scatter). Standard kits include batteries/charger, case, and OD1/OD2 ND filters.
