Power Technology Introduces HeCd Replacement Laser
LITTLE ROCK, Ark., Oct. 28, 2013 — Power Technology Inc. has developed the Concerto, a 442-nm solid-state HeCd replacement laser that delivers up to 150 mW of actively stabilized single-frequency light with a spectral bandwidth <5 MHz.
The instrument has a mean time before failure of >12,000 h, compared with a typical HeCd laser, which requires retubing every 3000 h, depending on the original power output. Typical coherence length is 100 m.
Applications include holography, security printing, spectroscopy, thin-film analysis, flow visualization, optical data storage and semiconductor inspection.
